September’s ramble on 24th September starting from Hightown Common car park was a largely flat and gentle walk, but with a couple of short inclines to get the calf muscles working. We had views across to Picket Post and the chance of a nose into the back gardens of some of the large properties in this part of the Forest. Some 19 members and partners enjoyed the walk and finished off with a refreshing drink in The Elm Tree pub.
