Rotary Newsletter – Spring 2023

Welcome to the Spring 2023 Bransgore Rotary Newsletter. We had a fantastic year in 2022 and look forward to sharing our adventures this year. Spring began by responding to the tragic earthquake in Turkey and Syria by donating to Rotary International’s relief efforts.

In the local community, we have been able to provide funding to Bransgore Scouts for their new floor. In addition to this, we supported Burton Scouts with a request for funds to improve their hall. Then, we were lucky enough to be invited to take a tour of the completed work. The hall looked fantastic and is a great asset to the scout group. Following this, we celebrated together by being served a delicious 3 course meal – funded by a raffle and cooked by Paul Craddock from Southbourne Immanual Church.

We have supported The Coffee House with grant money for improving access, which will make a big difference to its visitors.

Heartbeat House came to speak to the club and presented us with a certificate to recognise our commitment to them.

Thank you for all your support! We are very excited about the year ahead and will seeing you all at our events! Use your camera to scan the QR Code below to sign up to our Fun Run.

Why Rotary??

I am often asked why I wanted to join a Rotary Club. We’re incredibly lucky to live in such a beautiful area with great communities. I wanted to give something back. Rotary has given me the chance to meet people I wouldn’t normally meet. We have great social events I can take part in to make new friends. Are you curious about Why Rotary? Drop us a message on Facebook or come to a meeting to see us – Join us at The Carpenters Arms, Bransgore – Mondays 7pm.
