Once again this year we were delighted to make a major contribution to the annual Rotary Shoebox Appeal which at Christmas time sends boxes filled with presents to disadvantaged and displaced children in Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania and Ukraine, most of which would otherwise not receive any. Many will be going to Ukrainian children who are Refugees.
The boxes are checked and sorted into age groups before being packaged into larger containers for the journey to Eastern Europe.
Considering the financial climate we find ourselves in it was a great achievement to be able send 163 boxes! We would like to thank the parents and students of Bransgore Primary School, Burton Primary School, Christchurch Junior School and Bransgore Rotary members for their support and kindness in donating this year.
