BRANSGORE BEERFEST 2023

A Lipsmacking, Rocking Good Weekend

The Bransgore Rotary Beerfest was once again blessed with fine, dry weather, with several thousand visitors enjoying beer, cider and music.

Held over the weekend of Friday 29th Sept to Sun 1st Oct in the grounds of The Three Tuns, Bransgore, people came from far and wide to sample a selection of beers and ciders, drawn from brewers across the UK.  With over 80 beers and 30 ciders to choose from, most counties were represented.  A strong showing of local and regional beers also proved popular.  For those eager for a new tasting experience names such as Voodoo Chocolate Orange Stout, Tequila Blonde (a taste of Mexico), Chilli Beer, Bread and Butter (US hops) and Broomstick Bitter flew across the bar, alongside Sandbanks Bitter and Dorset Knob.  An unusual cider from Scotland, Thistly Cross Whisky Cask proved popular, infused with vanilla oak in Glen Moray casks.

Volunteers poured pints and helped to staff the event for which Bransgore Rotary Club are extremely grateful.   Over 80 people gave their help over the weekend to ensure the event ran safely and smoothly.  Behind the scenes a substantial investment in a direct satellite link enabled secure and speedy card transactions reducing entrance waiting times.

Headline bands entertained with music to suit all ages – the Big Town Boppers closing the Saturday night session.

Bransgore Rotary could not have run this popular event without the support of the village, The Three Tuns, sponsors and helpers. Slades Estate Agents generously donated crew T-shirts and the local Scout Groups undertook provision of hotdogs, wraps and curry.

A tremendous village effort to support local, regional and international charities.
